It’s tough to work on the web when you can’t get any kind of high speed. We’ve hit yet another road block with our latest attempts at DSL, this time w/ speakeasy. Turns out, our section of Brooklyn isn’t even facilitated with copper telephone wiring, a requirement for any form of DSL. This means that the phone lines around here are at least 70 years old, and in dire need of upgrading. I’ve never thought twice about the digital divide, now I’m experiencing it first hand.
