What’s your favorite wiki? Everyone’s used wikipedia; What other encyclopedia contains entries for both Abraham Lincoln, and Goatse.cx? Are you using a wiki resource (Wordpress users have the Wordpress wiki) . Have you seen any unique implementations of one? What would you like to see? Are you like, “WTF is a wiki”?
update - I’m starting to see how all wikis look alike, and can become a pain in the ass to use.

I don’t trust them… too many hands in the cookie jar. It’s like when your at a bar talking to a friend about a problem your having and all the sudden a group of other people over hear and then everyone becomes an expert on the topic. When an application’s only online help is directed to a “wiki” I go there- otherwise I stay away

i wouldn’t trust them either, cpawl, just by the sound of the name.. WTF is WIKI supposed to mean?

I am surprised most of you have heard of WKI’s yet.

- It is a terrfic comcept really, but I don’t seek them out per say. Rather- I search for info I need, it if happens to be a “Wiki” site, and the info there is helpful- so be it. If it is a nice CSS site, or a shitty HTML site with no RSS- so be it. Just get me the information I need, preferably by experienced people- and I am done with it…. call it whatever makes you feel cool.

Oh, as far as exact meaning…
There was a term “wiki” in Zen idealogy, which is something like perfect with purposeful imperfection. Or similar concepts in Indian beading, to add wrong color bead to
a design. Acknowledging the inheritent imperfection of the process.

Speaking of wikis as software documentation, This google Summer of code program sounds like an excellent method of creating instructional material, wiki style.
