The wrong bunch of people were involved. Ron Howard, Tom Hanks, ... boring. Personally I think all the religious freaks should be happy such a group made the movie, just think if it was directed by someone who actually read the book, had an artistic opinion, and was played by an actor who fit the roll ( <a href="http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0403795/Ss/0403795/1REVabN04.jpg?path=pgallery&path_key=Pullman,%20Bill" rel="nofollow">Bill Pullman maybe</a> ). Then again, there are ocars to be won and double disk DVD's to sell later. Hollywood needed Howard and Hanks for this. I found Indian Jones much more entertaining. The movie was too safe.
