dinner

Dinner amongst the RV’s, at Indian Flat RV Park in Yosemite, June 5th-9th.

After one night of RV living you’re convinced you’ll own one one day. After two nights, you’re convinced you’ll never set foot in one again. We did manage to cook up amazing meals on every leg of this trip. That shrimp you see in the foreground has been repurposed from last nights subpar Thai dish in San Francisco.

The next four nights were spent in Yosemite, one of them in the backcountry near Moraine Dome. The mere eight mile hike took all day as it covered nearly 2,500 vertical feet. Susan was only 3 months pregnant at this time, so she was still able to carry a full backpack. That’s a joke.

Of the 506 photographs we took in Yosemite, 14 of them are worth showing.

It was an experience though. I’ve never driven cross-country. Something I’d like to try as long as I can fly back.

Of the 800+ photos I took on my last vacation w/ the family to Orlando, I think I came out with 14 or less that I thought were any better than a cheesy holiday snapshot. Sometimes that happens.

Man I am so jealous right now. I drove across country twice and those were some of the best moments of my life. I would love to do it again and again. It’s nice to see you both so free. I am happy for the both of you. Tell Susan I said, “hello.”
