I’m hurting for cash, so naturally – I threw some junk out on the lawn of the internets largest trailer park – ebay:
You know you’re hurting when you invest 6 hours to make a cool twenty. We got mad music here too, 1,129 albums comprised of 548 artists and counting… I’ll burn you anything for super cheap. FO REAL. I’m talking full albums here people. I’m saving up for a subway pass to get to my food stamp eligibility meeting.
We also make tee shirts, which coincidentally, make great gifts. Give us a design, or request one – we’ll have it looking all supa dope, your choice of color & size, on a slightly irregular cotton smock; all this for just above cost. Got any other ideas as to how I can get through this holiday season? Let’s not discuss what I’d do for some rock.

I recently interviewed with a female body building web site in Hoboken NJ. Huge site full of very awkward content, and all done in 1995-esque static ass HTML. Most of the staff was cordial and could see that I was appropriate for the 5 hour a day HTML editing position. BUT, one woman requested I make her a “screensaver” out of photos of herself wearing various colored thongs to see if I was the HTML editor they’ve been looking for. This, in my spare time mind you.
After she continuosly demeaned “tech guys” who are incapable of even “stealing other peoples designs” and thought that because I’d be commuting by train instead of car there’d be some kind of disadvantage (this is NYC by the way, transit is quicker & cheaper than driving) I politely removed myself from the office, telling them that we’ll see what happens. Her complete rudeness & absolute arrogance (at one point she said “See, I’m one of these people who think with the left side of my brain”) had me seething, I used every ounce of willpower I could muster to bite my tounge, and remain polite. By far THE strangest interview I’ve ever been involved in; and I’ve never so vehemently despised a potential employer. Stay away from body builders.

How the yankees got Babe Ruth, I’m routing for Boston by the way, who haven’t won a world series since they traded Ruth. But we do have some uncreative yet highly lucrative tee shirts in mind once they return to the bronx. Tonight at 4:00 in Fenway, a very exciting game 5.
The recently aired 90 minutes of PBS’ frontline, “Truth, War & Consequences” is now available for online viewing, in it’s entirety. Watch it twice – jammed packed with good info…
Several other excellent frontline programs are also available via stream.

From an article in today’s New York Times:
“…As early as next month the (movie) industry will begin promoting a “stealing is bad” message in schools, teaming up with Junior Achievement on an hourlong class for fifth through ninth graders on the history of copyright law and the evils of online file sharing. The effort includes games like Starving Artist, in which students pretend to be musicians whose work is downloaded free from the Internet, and a crossword puzzle called Surfing for Trouble.”
How about a game where movie goers have to shell out $10 to see the latest piece of crap hollywood’s peddling? Oh wait, that’s real life. Or a game where you devote years of your life to a business, only to have them steal your life savings? Oh wait, that’s real life too.
Later, I found this piece on themorningnews.com regarding that anti-piracy commercial the studios play before the beginning of said $10 flick. Which I coincidentaly attempted to boo, in front of the wrong audience, at a Chelsea movie theatre.

I received this email from adaptive.net after opening a support ticket. warning – extremely BORING, unless you too recently experienced the unannounced outage of the Server.CreateObject function.
“The filesystemobject (fso) object has been determined to leave a huge security hole in windows that can allow reading and executing of any file on the server. While we would have liked to post a notice of this shutdown, allowing you to have a chance to modify your website, due to the nature of the security hole, we needed to shut it down immediately.”
“We have installed a similar and safer procedure with many of the same functionality as FileSystemObject. It is called saFileManager and documentation is available at http://www.hostinglogin.com/help/saFileManager/”
Finally, an answer… I eventually made some updates, and the Link Drop (add a link) section is once again working properly, along with that recent poll you see. sweet; and just when I thought I was done w/ the web.
