I’m heading to NY tonight via Jet Blue and just checked in online. They asked me if my bag contained any hazardous materials, providing a handy unordered list of possible items that may qualify as hazardous, I disregarded the list and selected NO. I was then presented my boarding pass in PDF format. It was that simple. The next step is to drop my non-carry on luggage at a designated counter and proceed right to security. I’m wondering, do they somehow have MORE info on me since I’ve done nearly everything online? They’ve had at least a month to examine the data I gave them when purchasing the ticket. Name, address, CC info. Did I give them my social security number? Have they already ran my name against the databases of suspect fliers? Did I make it easier to do so? Is it just as easy if I bought my ticket old school style; in person and perhaps mere hours before my flight?

That box of checks I received sooo fits my lifestyle!
Thanks Bank of America!!

On the etnies home page mouseover the navigation on the right hand side. In particular the nav labeled “skate”. Recognize that photo of the helmet wearing kid (available for a limited time only)? Leave your guesses in the comments.
My new digs, along with too many interior photos
State-of-the-art interactivity?

There was a little controversy recently, regarding the use of the Love park sign on http://skate.etnies.com/, which - coincidentally enough, was removed a couple of weeks ago…
Traffic skateboards was hating on the Love park recognition (read the blog entries on their site, can’t link directly to it based on use of iframes). I can see the pride at stake, but the idea was to raise recognition of Love, or so it seems, regardless of who etnies does & doesn’t sponsor. You’d think people would be excited to see it exposed to as many people as possible. Philly could use all the help it can get especially at a time like now . Had they dug deeper on the site, they would have found links to the various non-profit organizations in place to raise money & awareness for a public ‘plaza’ (skatepark) in Philly. I think those too, have been removed. Note the philly style garbage can still pictured in the banner.
this guy made it available as a wordpress theme so I thought I’d use it for a hot minute.
My youngest brother Mark, now 17 has been pursuing a little acting as of late, taking classes in manhattan and going on several auditions. He recently landed a commercial, rightfully cast as a big tall goof who can’t dance.
Because of his age, I had to accompany him to the shoot, filled with very pretty people. I hung out with other moms watching the youngsters play dance club for 8 hrs straight. My brother’s ability to ham it up for the cameras was uncanny, and hopefully he has a nice career ahead of him. Think Jack Black and Jim Carey as one. He’s that good, no bias here.
It’s a promo which should begin airing on Nickelodeon & it’s sister channels next week sometime; Promoting an upcoming ‘Noggin’ show titled “My Best Friends Date“. I’ll be watching and hopefully posting here for future consumption.
Not for the faint of heart - Susan took these pics in the name of science, from a recent cat dissection at Temple University.
